William Ray “Bill” Craig died in Harper University Hospital in Detroit, Michigan on November 4, 2014, due to complications following throat cancer. He was 65.

Bill was born on December 5, 1948 in Harlan, KY, to his parents Clyde and Edna Onetta (Beach) Craig.

Bill attended Bedford Public Schools. He was a drywall finisher by trade and took pride in his perfect finishes. He was an auxiliary member of VFW Post 9656 Lambertville, Michigan.

Bill is survived by his beloved children: Alisha (Troy) Shaler; William “Bud” Craig and his partner, Katie Ellis, and Kimberly Craig and her partner, David Stivale; five grandchildren: Alyson and Aaron Shaler, Tyler and Logan Craig, and Braydon Stivale; two brothers Ed (Pam) Craig and John (partner Rhonda Casell) Craig and two sisters, Emma (Paul) Jacobi and Ann (Ike) Eichenlaub. He is also survived by many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Woo Woo was Bill’s beloved Sheltie. They spent countless hours together fishing off the dock.

Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, Temperance, Michigan, is handling final arrangements according to Bill’s wishes. Cremation has taken place. There are no visitation services.

A Memorial Fundraiser and buffet is being held in Bill’s honor at VFW 9656 located at 4120 Piehl Rd., Ottawa Lake, Michigan, 49267. The fundraiser is Monday, November 10, 2014, 2:00 pm – ?
